I’m currently 10 weeks in, which is awesome because I have hit the double digits in numbers. A little less than 7 weeks to go. This past week I gained about three pounds, which is a decent number. If I gain three pounds from here on out I will be way over my 60 lb weight gain, which is the target. I am not trying to gain a lot of weight, but I am not trying to lose any either. I pretty much eat until I’m full, and when I am hungry again, I eat more. A lot of people think I just stuff my face every day, which is not true.
You can check out all of my past measurements on my website and see how I’ve progressed throughout this journey.
So, this past week, things have been good. Julie and I have set some new rules-new boundaries. No talk about marriage or the kids or the future. We have taken a step back from that. We are just trying to survive the next two months-the day-to-day stuff-not putting pressure on each other and starting fights for no reason. I think that was the root cause of a lot of our arguments. So things have been good between my girls and us.
Not a lot of new stuff this week. After Halloween, the weather started to change. It should start to snow soon, which is really nice because I can wear bigger clothes that hide my weight. I did go shopping with Julie at Target, which was really fun-buying XXL sweats and jackets. That’s the size I am moving towards. XL still fits, but in a month, it is going to be pretty snug!
Election week added a lot of stress for me, but I think for everyone. So much division and hate.
Not really following a specific nutritional protocol-just eating whatever. Not a lot of veggies, unless they’re on my pizza! Sometimes I shop at sprouts or Whole Foods, and there are more options with healthier ingredients that are a bit more expensive, which I buy and eat. As far as emotional eating goes, a lot more alcohol is involved! Mostly beer. I really enjoy beer now! In the beginning, I didn’t really like it, but now I look forward to a nice cold beer in the evening.
In a couple of weeks, I will be heading out to Virginia to spend time with my family and bring my girls, which I am really looking forward to. I am excited for the holidays! Stay safe everyone!
Aloha,
Drew
